The owner and team went out of their way to accommodate me while I was attending extended training in DC. They were very communicative and friendly throughout the process while worked with me as my departure dates kept changing. I highly recommend CHS and will definitely stay with them again in DC or in Austin.

The word most used by myself and friends to describe this place was “adorable.” It’s small and cozy tucked in a quiet spot in Capitol Hill. Very convenient if you need to be on the Hill or around it for meetings as I was, or if you’re a tourist. Very walkable area. Also theirs a friendly Newfoundland you might encounter strolling on East Capitol. Highly recommend.

Perfect alternative to a boring chain hotel. Charming, clean, well done. Bed was comfortable. Bath is small but really nice. This was a perfect space for the two of us. Private patio out back was huge bonus for morning coffee though it was a bit cold out during our stay but being from Chicago it was nothing for us. The whole place was charming. Exposed brick walls were neat. We had reservations at a nearby hotel but it was $100 more per night than this ended up being for what would have been a boring tiny room, and this location right in a gorgeous old neighborhood can't be beat.

This adorable carriage house was perfectly situated - we could see the top of the Supreme Court building from the driveway! The bed was very comfy and the bathroom luxurious.

I had an amazing stay! The apartment was super close to the Capitol and an easy walk to all the museums on the Mall. The apartment was spacious and clean. I really liked the updated appliances in the kitchen and the beautiful tile work in the kitchen and bathroom. The hosts were very personable and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay!

Our stay at Brian's carriage house could not have been more perfect! It's a charming home with lovely antiques, sweet little private patio, and absolutely spotless. The location is walking distance to EVERYTHING ! Communication with Brian is wonderful and he responds within minutes to emails, we will definitely be contacting him to stay again in the future!!

We loved this little place. Apartment sized but it's its own little house. Great little backyard. Wonderful neighborhood. The stairs going to the bedroom and bath are a little steep so if you have serious mobility issues this may not be for you. Very clean. Comfy bed and sleeper sofa. Lovely historic neighborhood.

Yes, it is only 600 plus square feet, but it felt bigger. This is an absolutely awesome place to stay. It was fully furnished with hotel quality sheets and towels and had everything you could think of, including great Wi Fi, Direct TV, and a wonderful private patio. The location is incredible - within walking distance to the Capitol, Supreme Court, Nationals Park, Metro, Union Station, and Capitol BikeShare docking stations. There is no need for a car or anything else. I loved walking the dogs (yes, it's very pet friendly) down to the Capitol late in the evening and felt perfectly safe. The owner makes it extremely easy from electronically signing the contract to the effortless checkout. In between, I loved staying there and hated to leave, especially since there is now a new Trader Joes just blocks away in the wonderful Eastern Market area. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

This renovated carriage house is perfectly located in the D.C. area. We walked to just about everything we wanted to see or do, and there are tons of good restaurants just around the corner. Also, because this space is split into two levels, you feel at home rather than in a bland rented room or long-term hotel. Plenty of closet and cabinet space for your clothes and food, laundry in the house, and it's a nice quiet neighborhood. Definitely recommend it for anyone who needs a place to stay in D.C.
