Charming carriage house in a great location, directly off East Capitol Street, 3 blocks to the Capitol grounds. Millers Court is a great little brick carriage house in a row of three houses. Two story one bedroom carriage house built in 1860's. Tons of historic charm. First floor is open kitchen, dining, and living room with queen sleeper sofa in living room. Second floor is a large open bedroom, plenty of workspace, walk-in closet,and full bath with shower and tub. Private backyard patio directly off the kitchen, completely fenced (perfect for a dog). Very few of these carriage houses remain in DC as most were torn down decades ago. 

Fantastic location. Easy walk to two metros, Whole Foods, other groceries, and countless world class and neighborhood restaurants.

Blazing Fast Internet! Perfect for working from home.  Up to1 gig fiber optic wifi and hardwired ethernet (an HD group Zoom call takes 3 mbps so this is hundreds of times faster).   Both WIFI and direct ethernet port.   This is the fastest residential internet speed available in DC.

In addition to 1 gig internet we also provide YouTubeTV (85 channels including local)  with HBO.   Smart TV with built in Netflix, Amazon, Hulu apps for use with your own account. 

We have a security camera mounted on the outside of the building.  It monitors the outside of the building only.

We moved to DC in 1997, to pursue careers after service in the military and in civilian fire department training. Both from modest family situations, we sold our 1980 Jeep CJ5 and used that $2000 to put a down payment on our first home on Capitol Hill. That home had an English basement apartment. Renting it furnished helped us cover the mortgage. We built this business from scratch over several decades, working regular jobs all day and then working on the business at night and every weekend.

We've seen Capitol Hill blossom into a true destination neighborhood. We do this full time. It is our sole source of income. It is our retirement fund. We support two extended families on this income. We pay our cleaners and tradespeople a living wage. Covid and the ensuing supply chain issues were very difficult for many small businesses in DC, including ours. We are truly thankful for every inquiry and booking we get.

Late spring and summer are the 'high season' very high demand months, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bringing people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid. Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental in July we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1.
